Description
Calendula, often referred to as marigold, is an annual member of the daisy circle of relatives that may be native to western Asia, Europe and the Mediterranean region. The entire flower heads are added to soups and broths. Marigold flowers are also used to supply a light, yellow dye and natural food coloring. The flowers also add a mild, pleasant flavor to herbal tea blends.
