Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) often referred to as Bachelor’s Button, Bride’s button, Altamisa, Featherfew, Featherfoil, Febrifuge plant, Flirtwort, Pyrethrum and Wild Chamomile, is a member of the Daisy family.
Feverfew can grow up to two feet high. It is native to southeastern Europe, and grows naturally right through Europe and North and South The usa. Its attractive white and yellow flowers and dark green foliage have made it a favorite of many gardeners.
The ancient Greeks referred to as Feverfew, “Parthenium.” The story in Greek mythology is that on the acropolis in Athens, parthenium was once used to save the life of someone who had fallen from the Parthenon, the temple of Athena.
