The Shrine Altar that may be featured in this listing is constructed out of solid Cherry hardwood – harvested in the neighborhood here in Northern Maine. The completed bench is finish-coated with an all-natural beeswax finish. Northern Cherry is a native northern and eastern species that extends it is range up through Northern Maine. It’s harvested in the neighborhood – I am getting my furniture-grade stock from a small independent sawyer who prepares and dries this Cherry lumber at his small home-based mill.
